Objective
To raise awareness of the re-branding of all 136 Pets at Home Stores (after
the Petsmart buy out) over the Easter bank holiday weekend
Solution
Cheeky Cheeks commissioned bespoke eye-catching photographs of Face Painted
children to be used in 136 local news papers as well as being enlarged to
6 foot tall and used on bill boards outside each store to pre-advertise
the re-branding. Face Painters were used to draw crowds and give out logo
bearing balloons, sweets, goody bags and promotional material whilst collecting
charity donations (presented afterwards to Dogs for the Disabled via giant
cheque thus further promoting Pets at Home and gaining regional and national
coverage).
Outcome
The weekend ran smoothly, the Cheeky Cheeks phone lines were fully staffed
to pick up any possible problems and Pets at Home were able to deliver a
100% of the attraction that they had pre-advertised. Clutching their logo
bearing balloons, the Face Painted children became walking talking advertisements
for the rest of the day. Pets at Homes were so delighted with the response
that all subsequent rebrandings have been covered by Cheeky Cheeks Face
Painting Ltd as well as store birthdays. Pets at Home also block book Face
Painters to cover subsequent national promotions across all stores.

Originally our Face Painting was organised on a store-by-store basis, with individual stores sourcing local Face Painters, but now we deal with Cheeky Cheeks direct from our Head Office.
