STOPGAP

Objective
To plan a team building, fun event for employees which was also a treat to say “thank you” for their hard work throughout the year.

Solution
Take all 60 staff to stay at a hotel, near Chippenham as a treat and to complete a challenge to entertain a large group of Barnados children with face painting, balloon modelling, circus skills, costumes and picnic and to erect and decorate playhouses which were to be donated to Barnardo’s family centres in the Bath/Bristol area. Cheeky Cheeks provided tutors to teach the various skills required as well as advice on how to co ordinate the event.

Outcome
The excited children arrived, were presented with their fantastic play houses and balloons before having their faces painted by the Stop Gappers and enjoying the performances by the costumed entertainment team followed by the wonderful Picnic lunch with everybody else. The event was a huge success, enjoyed by the team and the children alike whilst contributing to the community hence attracting considerable favourable media attention.
